Context:
Terrell (he/him) is a 35-year-old medical doctor. He sustained a T12 spinal cord injury and Mild TBI from a motor vehicle accident. He is single and has supportive family, but they are not local. Throughout his rehab, Terrell has stayed up to date on his CMEs and medical license, but he notices he has difficulty with attention during auditory listening and learning. He has a goal of returning to work at the local hospital, but so far he has not figured out transportation or sitting tolerance and he reports some issues with incontinence. He is independent with ADLs and has not given much thought to hobby interests or exercise. All of the rehab providers ask about sex and intimacy, and Terrell reports he isn’t sure what sex would look like and isn’t sure how he should approach dating, but he is interested.
